Max My Dream

I have heard about a nice writing tool that can be used with students.

In Max My Dream, if you write about a dream in 140 characters and wait for a few seconds, you can see your dream animated. The colleague who first wrote about it on her blog, Ana Maria Menezes, suggested asking students to watch the animation and guess the words, even the original text.
I embedded a dream on my students blog and asked them to guess my dream. The first student has already tried.

This is my dream:

Can you guess it?

  1. You should be/are working and you are afraid because you believe you have no time? Maybe you're late for a class?

  2. You are right in one thing - it's about school, but I'm not the protagonist, my students are. Can you guess now?

  4. I hope they don't feel so bored. My wish was for them to start doing something I always ask them to do.

  6. I don't see a pen :(, I only see the alarm clock, a fence, the moon. i hear birds singing and kids shouting.

Do you want them to stop shouting and start speaking English?

  7. Your students sleep at night and dream sweet dreams and then in the mornig the alarm explodes. They wish they did not have to go to school but take a computer and be out in the wilderness ... or the dreams.

  8. I really like this website Sanja - I've been having a lot of fun making a dream of my own and sharing the link with my friends. I'm still curious what your dream was. Thank you for sharing!! :))

  9. This activity is really fun - from the moment of creating the dream to the comments.

Well, I'll tell you now. What I wrote was: I wish my students started writing the posts for our class blog more regularly.

My students are good kids who work hard at school but when they have to write something at home, they sometimes forget or it takes them days to do it. We can rarely have our lessons in the computer room, so you can guess, I have to remind them all the time to post on the blog.

  10. That's interesting, this is the first time I saw the real dream. Before that I only saw the alarm clock all the time and nothing changed. :(

    Nice one Sanja! :)
